Artann has established business partnerships with several innovative technology companies to enhance development and commercialization of its products.
ProUroCare Medical Inc. is an emerging technology company that is developing its innovative vision in sensing technologies to increase the safety and efficacy of medical diagnostics and therapeutics. Currently, ProUroCare is primarily focused on products and technologies that are capable of identifying tissue abnormalities in the prostate using minimally invasive techniques, and on developing proprietary vision technology for thermal therapy systems to aid in the treatment of prostate related diseases. ProUroCare's first product will be the ProUroScan System, which is being designed as a unique diagnostic-visioning system that enables family physicians, internists and urologists to accurately identify and display tissue abnormalities and map the prostate.
tarting with tactile sensing technology developed at Harvard University, Pressure Profile Systems Inc. was founded in 1996 to design, develop, and manufacture high performance multi-element pressure and tactile sensing systems. Pressure Profile Systems Conformable Tactile Technology was developed over four years with government grants from several agencies, including the Defense Advanced Research Agency, the Army Research Lab, and the National Institute of Health. Other elements of their technology, such as our fluid pressure strip sensors and our discrete tactile sensing pads, have been developed through industry and university collaborations.
Medical Tactile Inc. is an emerging medical device manufacturer incorporated in Delaware and located in Los Angeles, California. The company was founded to develop, manufacturer and market the application of tactile sensing technology as an adjunctive device for the physical breast exam. Medical Tactile founders are committed to creating an affordable, fast and easy to use device that will enhance and quantify the traditional process of manual palpation in breast cancer screening. Medical Tactile first product, the SureTouch Visual Mapping System, represents a first phase in developing tactile sensing technology to improve early detection of breast cancer and ultimately save lives.
Advanced Tactile Imaging is engaged in the business of developing and marketing innovative products for imaging of tissue elasticity which is highly sensitive to changes of physiological and pathological conditions. Our initial patented product, Vaginal Tactile Imager (VTI), enables imaging and delivers essential information about the vagina and pelvic floor support structures. The mission of Advanced Tactile Imaging is to offer a novel affordable and noninvasive technology that generates the data necessary for the physician to make diagnoses, monitoring and provide effective treatment to patients.
